CHRISTMAS DAY 2010

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!  We celebrated with our kids and grandkids on Christmas Eve.  So much fun!!!!!

Here are a few pictures I snapped around my home on Christmas Day -- hope you enjoy them!
Two Lefton angel bells sitting on my kitchen windowsill.  I love their faces -- they always make me smile.
Our fluffy, white, Minnesota snow seemed like the perfect place to capture a photo of my three little angels.
Aren't they adorable?
The angel on the left has a sling shot hidden behind her back - check out the next photo.
Here is a slide projector reel with a mirror added to the back of it.
A great way to display your favorite vintage ornaments!
Funny!

LOVE aluminum christmas trees!
Meet HoHo.
My oldest sister made him for me when I was just a toddler.  He is in very loved condition!
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL AND TO ALL A GOOD NIGHT!

NUMBERS

What's your favorite number?  Mine (as well as my two daughters) is number 3.  Not sure why, we just all like it.  This past year I noticed numbers everywhere.  Just take a look!

My husband's 1968 Chrysler Newport is parked in his garage (yes, his) with exactly 40,000 original miles on the odometer.  My junk is not suppose to be in that garage, but sometimes shows up there.  Yikes!

HOPE 2010 WAS A MEMORABLE NUMBER FOR ALL!  HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

LOOK FOR ART IN THE SIMPLE THINGS!

I have always been one who likes to take what I have and make it work.  I remember growing up on our farm in southwest Minnesota and digging around in our grove for items to use for decorating in my bedroom.  I once took 2 old tires and a board and made a desk out of them.  Not sure mom liked it too much, but she let me bring it in the house just the same.  Take what you have and flip it upside down -- who knows, you might find a whole new use for that treasure you have been holding on to!

Am loving the old books!  I've made book bundles for shelf sitters, wallpapered with book pages,  garland for my Christmas trees, necklaces from paper shreds, price tags, paper leaves for broken tree branches  Just can't get enough.  Who knows what lies ahead with the pages.  Time will tell.

Ordinary paint brushes become art!

FROM MY HOME TO YOURS, "HAPPIEST OF HOLIDAYS.  THANK YOU ALL FOR A GREAT 2010!"

I'm dreaming of a White Christmas -- well, not anymore -- this past Saturday we got 21.5 inches of snow.  Welcome to Minnesota!!  Sara
